Everytime I go outside, people always stare at me, and sometimes they compliment me... and does weird things, but they wouldn't approach me... I see a lot of nerdy/geeky girls with so many cute boys now, holding hands with each other, etc... And then there's the backstabber girls that I know and they always think about themselves... I'm 18 and I live in NYC, people outside said I'm pretty/beautiful/sexy... and I always say thank you and respond politely... So why is it that I can't get a boyfriend? Am I not good enough as the nerds/geeky girls? How can you all know that when none of you try to get to know me at all? You just stare at me from a far, and smile... but never be normal to approach me like you did with the other girls. I don't even know what to say anymore.

I don't have a pic but people tell me I look like the girl on the left and I dress like that too, my hair is also like that but darker.

Never had a boyfriend? Don't be in so much hurry. Like I say "make friends". You might be trying to hard to get a boyfriend. I think it is always better to start of by being platonic friends with guys and then maybe boyfriend and girlfriend later.

You are 18 right now. I had my first boyfriend at 21 and he is a keeper -- we are married now. We were friends-- best of buddies for 2 years boyfriend and girlfriend for 1 year engaged for another 1 year. You have time.... you don't want to be in really bad situations and being used at the end.

Maybe the guys just look at you and think. "She's so pretty.... she wouldn't consider me." Approach and befriend them.

Why do you want to have a boyfriend again? Most times they are hassles ... to be honest.

Forget waiting for "some" guy to choose you, and go out there and pick someone you actually want. If you don't see guys at school or in pursuit of your career choice then start by picking a hobby for your spare time, something outdoors preferably. Meeting someone who enjoys the same hobbies as you is the essence of having a relationship.
